Welcome
to Staffordshire Federation of Women's Institutes Web site.
The Federation was formed in 1919 and from
that date has gone from strength to strength. The County covers
a very diverse area from the Staffordshire Moorlands in the north
to the softer climes in the south and across to the east where the
three spires of Lichfield Cathedral dominate the picturesque old
city.
There
are 144 local WI's in towns and villages around Staffordshire with
activities of interest to women of all ages. Meetings are held regularly
once a month to which visitors and potential members are always
welcome. Our 4,500 members are a bright and lively group of ladies.
The County Federation organises very popular
events, that feature well known speakers from far and wide. An annual
holiday is organised for members and friends to various places of
interest.
