I have been a member of Hanbury & Draycott WI since 1999. During that time, I have held the posts of Secretary for 7 years, President for 12 years, Correspondence Secretary for 5 years and Treasurer for 2 years, the latter two being my current roles. I love being a member of the WI; it offers so many opportunities for us to enjoy.
I am a trained singer and this is my main hobby. I’ve sung with many different choirs around the country as well as performing in local pantomimes for the last 46 years!
I am a keen sewer and have made wedding dresses and numerous bridesmaids dresses along with many other clothing items, as well as curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.
I enjoy exercise and attend classes on a weekly basis.
I love baking, cooking and making jam with local produce.
I also speak fluent French.
I’ve had over 40 years of experience in business and now that I’m approaching retirement, it’s time to give something back to the organisation that has given me so much over the last 27 years.
